It’s set up to static balance so it’ll balance as soon as the cells vary by more than 0.01V
My BMS has had yet to activate its balancing circuit, which is how any well designed pack should be Imo. If you are constantly having to balance your cells something is probably wrong Imo.

On any bestech bms that is used the most on here, balancing starts as soon as one of the cells hit 4.2

Those are just the basic settings available for the app the pc app let’s you change about 20x more settings lol

Just so everyone knows there is no iPhone app currently so android only.
Those are even a step up in some ways supporting whatever battery config you want. But they are quite large /pricy. You can get up to 100Amp discharge BMS’s of the same style I added a link to my previous comment of the exact one I’m currently using.
Tho I’m only using the 80Amp model
