Motors have arrived
You can get some batteries in that enclosure…
If only I could build my own ahh. I was going to to go with that 10s lipo setup. I wish I has the extra $ to buy an assembled li ion with BMS. Doing the wiring will be the most challenging part of my build
Edited haha. I meant assembled li ion.
I’ll ponder that matter when I get there still plenty of winter left
Drive train is assembled! Just need motor pulleys.
Red loctite or blue for drivetrain assembly?
Blue is plenty strong.
UPDATE! Motor pulleys and keys arrived from @JLabs today, which means my drive train is now 100% complete
New deck should be in next week, which means I only need to work on electronics from here!
Going to be needing to make a final decision regarding battery, BMS and ESC here very soon.
TB ESC on sale for $85 right now in case that is one of the options you were looking in to.
Thank you for the heads up!
Update! New deck came in. Was able to get this discontinued model for $100
@bigben enclosure fits perfect
Yeah this is gonna be sick
Stoked! When I get time I can’t wait to build one of these up.
I’ll have to hit you up about some of my questions with the electronics unfortunately
Do you have any details about why not?
The original 4.20 had lots of cutting out issues during acceleration, even with very low settings. I think they may have fixed this though with a 4.20+ or something, idk @J0ker3366 was talking about it
@mmaner could tell you more as per performance. I just know that the caps were upgraded to be able to handle higher settings. Still not privy to its capabilities on 12s or I just don’t remember being told lol.
The good - this is looking really sick!
The bad
These short mounts don’t provide much angle for clearance. Right now my only solution is a tilted riser pad. Any other suggestions?
I guess longer belt would help. I could move the motor back to get some more clearance from the truck
Don’t do that. It would increase your rear truck angle along with your chance of speed wobbles.
