I didn’t choose it because of the package (although it’s nice it has a small footprint). I chose it because it had the features I was looking for in a boost converter. Synchronous, current mode, Wide Vin voltage with emphasis on the low voltage, over 12S capable output voltage support, cheap. The package could have been almost anything, as long as it would be something compact.
Nice… Not a chance that i’d manage to solder that but it will be interesting to see the result! Like you say, it’s nice n small
