There’s an offer to order from taobao through an agent… dont know what their rate is yet… but it shouldnt in theory be more than half of items’s price… that’s for sure.

I just checked. Is from same seller. U can notice from the photo. They write “BOX xxxxx” in the picture. The previous link is dead. I think there have a expiry date for the link.

I’ve been playing around with an idea like this for 3 years now. It’s great to see i’m not the only crazy one. my thought process was 8 motors and 8WD with a double drop board and massive off roading wheels.

how is the project going? are you still working on it?
not currently. Most of it is just drawings and research on what I would need electrically. Currently I’m helping a friend with just a plain longboard. Hopefully I will have enough money to properly finish up the board soon. The main challenge is how to have enough battery power for 8 motors.
Wow, 8 motors? That sounds so expensive! Not to mention very heavy… good luck with the build mate.
You could also put pulleys around Carvon motors and spin those motors with another motor and achieve 8 motor drive but only 4 wheel drive
This design is how you kill your motors from road vibration… It is going to shake the motor to pieces when the wheel/motor mount pivots
…and it has no upside. It adds tons if drag, doesn’t make it any more stable. Just, why?

There is one upside to having the pivot 8 wheel design, it handles big bumps very well. When my 8 wheel was working, I went over a massive dip at 20MPH and barely felt it. A 4 wheel would have made me eat it for sure. That being said, the downsides of the 8 wheel setup far outweigh the benefits, as I have learned, and have been trying to convey to others on this forum that want to try it
