So I’m looking at finding/ building an outer frame that resembles this picture. It’s an old seat backing that was gonna be thrown out that just happens to be perfect for this design, solving all my issues with being able to lay down. Just looking for recommendations on making moulds or plywood bending etc any suggestions appreciated.

For making moulds, you could use several 4*4 pineposts, that you cut to give the shape you want, one for the top, one for the bottom, and then put a few plywood sheets between , stick thelm together, and press.
