I was going tl say put a bandage/patch or stitches on that helmet
I plan on trying to paint it anyways. I’m pretty much incapable of owning a thing and not customizing it
But the Dorado Pass is so good looking already!
But it’s not personalized. I’ve basically voided every warranty on things I own for the sake of personalization… Can’t help it.
Might be tossing my two new 6374 170kv motors i got from mmaner up for sale for a good price. ($160ish?)
Need money for orher things.
Battery should be here Friday. Im gonna try and paint and glass frit this week.
Mmmmm
First time soldering
For those of you that didn’t know @Kug3lis cnc focbox case also doubles as helping hands lol
That short board would be ‘ze sheet’
looks great!
Im super happy with how they turned out. They definitely look better from a few feet away (paint) The brushes I bought were falling apart and made it really hard to do detail work. It’s just basic model car paint with a few light layers that clear. At some point I may remove the paint and pull out my airbrush and liquid latex and try and do a more professional aged look. But this gave me a project to do in my lap while I was sick with the flu.
getting there man! I can’t wait for the first time you ride this thing. Going to blow your mind.
Thanks dude. A few more Connectors need soldering. Waiting on motor pullys and my second receiver from @torqueboards and my motor mount plates and belts from @psychotiller and it should be on the road. Hopefully everything will arrive in the next day or so.
So the power button location on my enclosure was hitting the focbox case.
(No longer putting case top side. Since theres room in the enclosure its going in there)
So a cut a piece of kydex.
And got some abs cement.
Pic is from first coat. Did 4 in total. Let cure overnight.
Didn’t have the size bit i needed (my tool box sucks)
So i drilled a small hole and used a 12.9 grade bolt as a file.
I’m pretty happy with it.
Also, with more help from @monsterbuilder . No more tiny bullets on the focboxs
And off with the xt60, bring on the xt90 for the anti spark
So i went to mount my truck… realized my skate hardware is 3 inches.lol its a bit much. Gonna have to cut to size. Babies sleeping so i don’t wanna bust out the dremel.
Put a nut on it, hacksaw and then unscrew the nut to repair any thread damage. Super quick and easy.
