How soon do you think profiles option will be implemented on the unity?
I have 2 unity powered boards and my wife just started riding. It’d be nice to not have to change motor settings and throttle curves back and forth every time.

@Deodand a wife is one thing, your 60+ y/o father is another. I think such a feature is a must. It would make the whole experience much better, and safer given how ‘‘dangerous’’ eskating already is.
I’m working on a big update, profiles is definitely top of the list.

Actually for accuracy’s sake, I’ve had one small issue with one unity. It completely forgot motor detection settings after powering board on. This had only happened once, but last night it happened again. Very annoying but again, pre configured profiles would hopefully fix that quickly. Unless it’s a motor detection issue and those values can’t be force written without redoing detection.

has anyone tried hooking the unity up to a flipsky vx1??? i tried over the weekend no luck with it, i got through a majority of the setup but after everything was said and done the remote did nothing, am i missing something, i gave up sorta quick to be honest lol
using uart or ppm?
Uart is the connector I have
Make sure you set your uart correctly here. Not sure what baud flipsky is running. I’d guess 115200.
The Non Vesc version of the VX1 will work in ppm.
Hey, just wanted to note that re calibrating the motors fixed the stuttering and although I have sensorless motors, I have never experienced the stutter minus when the motors were not calibrated. Always take off from a dead stop even up hills.

Hi! I had the focbox unity since before summer. I works perfect and this week I wanna change my remote. When I connect the focbox to my computer to calibrate the remote with FOCBOX TOOLBOX, I changed some values, and I reset the config to default.
After that, I calibrate the remote, and works perfect, instead the motor dont get to much velocity. Then I reboot the focbox and it dont start again! I’m scared with this. I dont know what is the problem, aparently everything is right
Hi guys - for the records, same here. I lost all my configs. Today was my first ride with Unity. Everything was fine, until i stopped in the park for maybe 30min (i think unity did the auto shutdown)…i turned on and motor was weird. Looked at the app and all configurations was gone…even my battery configs.
I am with metr for unity installed.
This has happened to me twice now, super annoying. Just out of curiosity, did you have any issues with your power button while turning the board back on right before it lost the configs?
Both times I’ve had the issue, the power button was unresponsive a few times before turning the board on successfully.

Not that i noticed…will check next time. When you loose settings, did the board auto shutdown?
No, but it has only happened when the board has been off and then turned back on… never while riding. Very odd indeed.
