Has anyone used the LY FOC-30H ESC?

Hi, I’ve been working on a longboard project for school with some friends, and we want to make a custom remote, but in order to do that, we need to know about the communication protocol of our ESC, which is the LY FOC-30H. Unfortunately, we are struggling to find any documentation or datasheet regarding the LY FOC-30H.

Does anyone know of any documentation for the LY FOC-30H, or if there is any documentation out there about a communication protocol that all ESC’s use?

The LingYi ESCs are all proprietary stuff, not designed for custom remotes or custom anything.

A lot of ESCs (not LingYi) use 5 volt PWM communication in 20ms frames with 1.0ms to 2.0ms signal pulsewidths, with 1.5ms being “zero” on the control.

Thanks for the response! Do you know of any ESCs that support the type of communication that you mention?

Any VESC-based ESC. The Flipsky Mini FSESC 6.7 will.

VESC software erroneously calls this communication “PPM” — but it’s absolutely decoding PWM communication on the “servo” pin (the white wire).
