Help with battery configuration for dual 6355 260KV

This is my first build, please be gentle

I have two 6355 260KV motors from https:///products/electric-skateboard-motor-6355-260kv and this dual ESC from Flipsky https://flipsky.net/products/dual-fsesc4-12-100a

To quote : Our 6355 260KV Motor works with a 6S Voltage Battery using the VESC ESC Speed Controller. We do not recommend using 10S/12S Voltage with our 6355 260KV Motor and a VESC ESC Controller.

I have 40 Samsung 18650 and I’m trying to figure out how to build battery pack. Would 8s5p work for this dual 6355 260KV / FSESC configuration? Or should I stick to 6s and build 6s6p battery (36 cells), maybe get more cells and build 6s7p or 6s8p.

Thank you!

Honestly it depends on the other parts you have…if you have a very torquey wheel and pulley set you can use 8s, otherwise I’d say 6s6p. You can get more cells if all are new, but after that many cells it’ll be a bit heavy and you’ll have to make sure your enclosure will hold them all

I’m planning on 15/36 gear ratio

Wheel size? If it’s around 90mm you can just barely get away with 8s… otherwise you’ll be way over 30mph

Wheels are 85mm
