How excactly do we determing pole pairs on our esk8 motors ?
I know it’s usually 7 pole pairs. But this motor made me doubt.
It has 14 magnets and 12 motor Windings.
12/3 = 4 poles per phase on stator side. 14 magnets = 7 pole pairs on rotor side < - guessing thats what you’re after?

Yes thanks… that gave me a little bit better e-rpm and KV numbers (lower) I was afraid it was 6 pole pairs
Found some bedtime stories here : https://www.monolithicpower.com/pub/media/document/Brushless_DC_Motor_Fundamentals.pdf
It doesnt cover outrunners but still gives pretty great explainations
