Hey guys - noob here with an appropriately noob question. Recently upgraded from a Boosted v2 to a Zeus and it’s a whole new world. Love everything about the board except the braking power.
Eventually I’ll do a DIY build when time + money permits, but in the meantime I’m wondering if anybody know if it’s possible to swap the Zeus ESC for something something more customizable? Thanks!
Yes it’s possible. You can switch it out with a maker x, a stormcore, a xenith, etc. They all connect the motors and sensor wires the same way. The only difference is the price and features you get from them. Be sure that you know how much amps your battery gives out for safety reasons.
You may run into some issues like connection or motor detection errors, but they can be easily fixed.
Be sure to confirm all ratings and the size/shape of the new ESC to make sure it fits, can handle the voltage and current, and won’t overheat (might need cooling).
