New vesc user? Read This - COMPLETE WALKTROUGH OF THE VESC

4s battery is pretty low, specially if you’re using a Vesc… You need at least 6s or more

i ordered two 42 5200 mah batteries and perhaps in the future i will get another 42 to go along with the one I already have.

@evoheyax Please add a special note for the “Max Current Ramp Step” bug to prevent peeps from blowing their DRVs like I did!

Quick question for you guys. For some reason when I click to download the tool, it says that the “This service is temporarily unavailable!” and I can’t go to the website. Anyone else having this problem or is it from my ISP?

Down for me as well. You can use this site to check: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/

For some reason, I am unable to modify the original post. I want to add info about alternate firmwares also, such as @Ackmaniac’s firmware.

It’s because it is too old. Only moderators can edit it. If you write it up in a word doc or whatever and email it to me I’ll change it for you

i have the new vecs-x from Enertion, but no cable to connect to the receiver where can i bay this cable Enertion dont have.

You can use your phone’s data cable

The cable you’re looking for is called a servo cable. You can pick them up at your local hobby shop or anywhere on the internet.

@NICOMUTTER

I think this thread might be helpful to you

Also, that rug is probably not the best placement of electronics due to static electricity.

It’s was just for the pic ;p

Link to BLDC tool died :frowning:

yes, and theres not a new one either.

I had a hell of a time downloading it yesterday.

If your using linux, you can download the github repository from vedders github, and compile it yourself, which is what I did. It’s a bit of a pain though and you need to know how to navigate directories through the command prompt.

Windows and mac, you can try this, though IDK if it works: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0Bym9XrdeViekfkRETmRndENkcVpySW5sWjIzOWdrLThCY01HY3BPOXpqYVRHUlQxS0R5ZlU

You will be limited in the firmware versions you can run though. Jacob seems to have completely disappeared.

Thanks!

@jacobbloy was online 22 hours ago, hope he can everything up and running. Maybe it’s cheaper for him to share all version on github? You can host the site there as well.

IF anyone has any good versions please share them. I know theres a lot out there with the tool and since Jacob was the only one really hosting it, we’re left in a bind…

Why not ackmaniacs version? Just for Maytechs without bootloader it is more difficult.
