All done. I wrapped it in a fiberglass reinforced tape and used a foam spacer to insulate the bms from the battires. my lithium cocane pack is completeš
A foam spacer will cause a short under prolonged vibrations. use fish paper
Yeah i noticed that electrical tape is a bit much. I switched to painters tape.
Il get right on that
How is this
Thatās so much better.
Yalls thoughts on the current carrying capacity of a cell holder? Will they work if I connect them with 10awg at the top?
I donāt know enough about battery holders, but what holders are you using? I would figure theyāre about as good as (if not worse) than a single strip of nickel š¤·
These ones, Iām think the same thingā¦they only gotta get 20-30 amps from the end of the cell to the 10awg solder block about 6mm from the contact point
Those pins on the bottom look kinda small. Maby try for sonething more heavy duty.
Iām not using the pinsā¦soldering to the exposed fold at the top, lot thicker there
You might have issues with the flexibility being lost. Or, if it flexes, will it crack the solder off? I donāt know these answers.
If it was me i would just spend the money and get a spot welder. The first time u make a battery will seem ridiclously expensive but the 2nd pack will be so easy and cheap and done properly!
Iām looking into it but holders will be the same cost as all the other supplies anyway and are hard mounted with easy replacement so itās convincing either way
I donāt think soā¦the holders are cast ABS and rock hard, and the only think connecting them is wires that bend so it should be okay for a flexible deck
I meant the spring steel that connects to the ends of the cells. The bend youāre talking about soldering to.
Now that my pack is done i was hoping to calculate the watt hours of the pack but not sure how to do it. its 100 30Q batteries 10s 10p any help would be useful.
Ohā¦I think it will be okay, I can mount it on the flat
sweet. now I know i have the power do destroy my house
