It is mentioned in the page :1x VESC 6 MkV (trampaboards.com)
that it is possible to have Roll to start . I wired it using a momentary switch. Does roll to start mean just powering the vesc back on (waking it up from sleep) or does that mean that it will kick on the vesc and turn the motor back on to the last sleep it was running before it went to sleep
