Would it be worth taking the 30Ts instead of 30q simply for lesser voltage sag?

On a small pack I’m sure it would be noticeable. 10s2p, I would.

Dumb question here but are the 30T’s same cylndrical size as the 30Q?

yep maybe a swappable battery system.

21700, so no.

Damm thanks. These cells would be sick for a ev car.

How about 12s4/5p :joy:

not rly. For a car you can go crazy with the P count, so cheaper cells are better.

Ahh yeah that’s true. You’l more capacity aswell. That makes sense.

Prolly not worth, that’s gonna be $500+ in cells

360€ if you go 12s5p for the 30T

In the US it’s comming out to $470 + shipping Screenshot_20190109-170209_Chrome

At those sizes you’re better off with 30Q’s or SANYO 20700 B

The Samsung 30Q is a 18650 cell, that means 18mm diameter 65mm length The SAmsung 30T is a 21700 cell, that means 21mm diameter 70mm length

I’ve being waiting for these cells for a while

Ahh ok. Thanks for the info! I’m more of a lipo kind of guy. :joy:

The samsung 40T looks also like an awesome cell! 40T max continious discharge = 25A 30T max continious discharge = 40A

40T has a better curve with 20A discharge and packs more capacity. This 21700 40T cell performs much better than the 21700 Sanyo 4Ah cell. chrome

For small or big powerfull packs 30T is just a beast. Below 20A / cell, the 40T gives just better performance.

I’m really tempted by a 12s2p

MOLICEL 20700A looks interesting too, 5amp cont discharge less that 30T and 46 pence cheaper. https://www.fogstar-wholesale.co.uk/product/molicel20700a/
