nice project, im thinking about doing the same. i’ve got a question about how you got the wood bent to the shape on the topside? i know, you said, you used your board as a mold for the shape, but how does the wood stay in that shape? did you fiberglass it top and bottom?

also, can you tell me, where you got the carbon-looking fiberglass?

I make a stratification with form top to bottom : finish wood layer (for the finish like the top of the deck), fiber glass and carbon UD, core one layer of wood again and same number of fiber glass and carbon UD fiber. Need 4.5mm so made my own sandwich composition and was lucky :slight_smile: I order from Sicomin : http://www.boutique-resine-epoxy.fr/ (cause I’m frens)

Today, I prepare the Unik dual kit with 6355 APS 190kv motor, and it was soooooooooo goood, so pleasant compared to all the systems I’ve used so far !

shouldve kept your “old” board and just press a new one! I really liked the old one too :disappointed_relieved:

you can dissolve hard foams with acetone by the way :smiley:

How did you paint your wheels? Won’t the paint degradate with the time? And how do you still using the orangatang marks?

Don’t know, still not used this one on ride (the marks it’s a plastic who don’t take the tint, I like it) I used the same process, again and again (4 times min) … Can’t wait to take it for a riiiide !!!

Yes, for the board and for enclore in the deck. But the last finish layer is made by hand (cause I get to many plies before)

I have some pb with the support for the 2 part enclosure, so : I make it differently, now the trap for the top to make again !

So you cut the middle reinforcement ? Did you have problems with for placing elements inside ?

BTW, the work you did for this second red-CF wrapping is awesome !

YEs I cut it … the space for the lipo was to short, or they cant inflate !.. Everything fit inside, 5 lipos, dual VESZCs that are ready and programme with the motor. Now, just the trap and rebuild all !
