He changed the pulley and belt length too, believe the belt is 395mm.
Noob question here: what’s the point of bearings around belts ?
They are called idler pulleys and allow the belt to wrap around a bigger section of the pulley, decreasing the chance of the belt slipping. This also means you can run the belts a little looser, increasing efficiency slightly and being less stressful on the motor bearing and belt.
Nice ! So if I have one 36T Wheel pulley, one 15T motor pulley with a 265mm belt I should be able to switch to 34 or 44T on my wheel pulley without problems ?
Can’t say without knowing your exact motor mount. Also wouldn’t recommend running those ratios because you’d be sacrificing huge amounts of torque and acceleration.
I was just asking, I don’t want to change mine but theorically it should work fine, thanks !
Top Ramen rocket Because it fits a college budget
Did you change the truck? It looks longer than before
Yes, the kit I bought from Dickyho came with extended Paris Truck clones.
New battery is in! Thanks to @hyperIon1 , I have my 12s2p 30Q battery in. Due to the snowy weather, I haven’t been fully able to test out these batteries, but so far they’re definitely worth the higher top speed. I’ve also used some ws2812b led’s and flashlights integrated into the battery enclosure of the board, powered by a disassembled power bank. I’ve just installed my metr.pro (courtesy of HyperIon) and will be uploading some stats soon. Anyways, enjoys these photos I took!
This build is so sick
Appreciate the support, stay tuned for photos of the new deck once I install it.
Check my new thread for updates!
Looks great mate, I love the look of the white on black. Good job
Made a new thread since my board has drastically changed from the start.
