The Darth Maul: Sector 9 Bintang, dual 6374s, FocBoxes, 12S4P, torqueboards 218mm trucks

Edit: If there is a Darth Vapor why not a Darth Maul?

Final board.

Slowly working on it, but this week I’ll receive the last part I’ve been waiting for the antispark switch from @goldenHusky and hope to finish it by the weekend.

Very flexible layout

Focboxes and aluminum heat sink installed

Rubber gasket at the enclosure perimeter

Testing fitment with motor mount clamps installed

Reverse motor mounts on the CNC

Thanks, man!

I also extended the wheelbase in order to be able to fit the 6374s motors in reverse position, tomorrow I’ll upload more pictures.

As you have the wider calibers, Why would you Go dual criss cross? There should be enoght space for both 6374’s on the same side of the truck.

I have extended the wheelbase not the track width, I mean I made addapters to fit the calibers further away between each other.

I’m going to mount both motors on the reverse position for symmetry

Aha, Then I understand. Board looking sick btw:heart_eyes:

This build looks great

Wow theres still a lot of space between those motors! You should try fitting some 6384 motors. For science of course!

I might be trying those soon, but as I already had those I’ll keep them for now

Trucks, truck holders, carbon fiber fiber wrap, done:

Tomorrow tasks:

  1. Install nutserts and enclosure mounting bolts
  2. Install led light for antispark switch
  3. Install charger port
  4. Install motor mounts and motors
  5. Change the jst connectors from the motors
  6. Program the Focboxes with latest firmware and set up the limits
  7. Fabricate a new 3 pin remote cable
  8. Install remote receiver
  9. Buy and install grip tape
  10. Remove all bolts in order to add Loctite
  11. Sand keyway until it motor pullies slide in
  12. Test ride

Damn! I thought I was close, this might take 2 or 3 more days =(

Deck looks great with carbon fiber. Did you just use normal vinyl wrap that’d be used for wrapping cars? I’ve always wanted to try but was worried it wouldn’t adhere well to a wooden deck

Yeah, I used some leftovers from a car wrap job, in fact it didn’t adhere very well. I had to spray the whole board and wrap with urethane lacquer, now the wrap is pretty good adhered
