What can I build for 600 dollars?

I would suggest to run a 230kv motor, I used 190kv motors on my 10s4p and it was too slow on 15/40T pulleys, maximum ERPM was 50000. KV of motors are always way lower than stated/nominal/advertised KV.

Could also use a taller ratio like 16/36 if you’re looking for more speed

16/36T is perfect for my riding style, but it’s too fast for many people. However once you ride a 16/36T going back to15/40T feels like riding a toy!

I remember my 16/40 single SK3 6364 setup, man it was powerful on the low end, but after 20MPH it just didn’t really have the guts. Can’t wait to build my dual 16/36 OM5065 setup, should be able to tackle hills while still being fast as hell!

Why not 6355s instead of 5065s?

The board I’m building is a pretty weird design using 8 wheels. You can see the latest of my progress here: http://www.electric-skateboard.builders/t/8-wheel-build-36-kicktail-vesc-4-12-dual-om5065-200kv-2-2kw-10s-10ah-custom-enclosures/25708/6?u=alanhunt123 The only way to get motors to fit onto my double wheel mount is if they are 50mm. I weigh 175lb, so a dual 5065 setup should provide plenty of power! It is what Evolve uses on the Carbon GT, after all.

Cheers!
