What does room mean in PCB design?
I think your referring to headroom. If so it’s voltage above what is minimally required . Using amplifiers as an example . If your subwoofers are 500 watts rms and your amplifier is 750 watts rms you will have 250 watts headroom. And it’s recommended to be done this way. If you don’t have any headroom then everything will be running maxed out 100% of the time causing premature wear and tear, excess heat ,etc.if you have headroom of 2x ( 500 watt rms woofer and a 1000 watt rms amplifier then your gear can run more efficiently as low as 50%. I think I have that right. Correct me if in wrong everyone.
