A New Affordable ESC

Hi, I decided to take a stab at creating a new more affordable ESC for a skateboard I am in the process of building.

  • Voltage Range: 12 - 60 V ( 55 V for overshoot reasons)
  • Current Max: Without Heat Sink 50A, with heatsink 80A.
  • 2" x 2.5" PCB 2 Layers 2 oz

Current cost in runs of 5 boards: $35/board.

It is all open source made in KiCad: https://github.com/orionserup/OpenEV on the 500W branch.

I am in the process of designing a smart BMS, ECU and controller as well, contributions are welcome.
