I’m looking at the JK active BMS and want the smallest possible BMS but the size and costs seem to increase a lot depending on the discharge output. I’m wondering if I could just bypass the discharge on the BMS? The discharge will therefore just be controlled by the ESC and the rating of the ESC is well below the max of the battery. The question I have is will this effect the active balancing? Are there any implications or limitations of bypassing the discharge on the BMS such that it will reduce the ability of the BMS to do any of it’s other functions?
