Anyone using psychotiller mounts?

I’m a bit on the fence on how much tension to use. Onloop says to tension just enough where you feel resistance in the wheel. I had my belt to be taut with maybe 1/4" of deflection max a few days ago. I was having trouble with sudden acceleration from a slow roll. Right now, I re-adjusted my belt to just enough to take away the slack, and then maybe 2-3mm beyond that. Bench testing it, it seems a lot smoother with the acceleration and I don’t see any oscillations in the belt. I’ll test it tomorrow for any belt skip.

The best thing would be for someone here with a working board to tell us how much deflection there is from rest and with a finger pressed onto their belt.

that is also what people told me

The wider the belt then can lower the tension.

I tried the belt deflection method at first but IMO not as good as the plucking sound method.

When I was riding 9mm belt it ran best at higher HZ around 250 hz

With a 12 mm belt I can run about 200 hz

Guessing a 15 mm could run even slacker.

Going too tight and belt belt will make more noise… Going too slack and the belt can slip or just feel sloppy under braking.
