BMS that charges but doesn’t discharge, Any Ideas on a Solution?

Hi all,

I am having trouble with my BMS. It works perfectly while charging, but it doesn’t give the board any juice on discharge, all of my cells are brand new, when I bypass it the esc works and the motor spinsThe weird thing is that the BMS supplies the esc with 4.02v of power, so the esc will turn on for one second before dying. Any Ideas? I thinking a new BMS, just wanted to check if anyone else had any ideas

That won’t damage the battery? Would the cells imbalance on discharge?

If all the cells are new and healthy you will be fine, I don’t think BMSs balance on discharge anyway. you won’t have overcurrent and overdischarge protection but that isn’t really needed.
