Ok, so you’re saying that the tape is as efficient as contact with a bit of thermal paste?

that is not a standard tape its thermal conductive isolator.

Different pastes and tapes there are, each with different thermal properties

I know that direct fets need to be insulated.

Forget what I previously wrote. If you could insulate and cool each direct FET with individual heatsinks with a thin layer of thermal paste as opposed to using a thermal insulating tape and an single heat sink for all fets, which design would be more efficient?

The single piece aluminium is way better than multiple small ones…

What kind of solutions are the people with these using to protect their receiver and Bluetooth modules? I really like the design but dont know what I would do about the secondary electronics.

The problem is that aluminium case will work as Faraday cage and it will block all the RF signals, that’s why there is nothing for secondary electronics.

Also I read above our TorqueB capacitors don’t fit, I would not like to change or damage my vesc, is what he said tru?

I don’t know about the TorqueBoard VESC, but if they follow original Vedder design then it’s OK otherwise you need to change capacitors which you can get directly with the case at:
