I would buy a motor mount where you don’t need a crossbar otherwise you would have to mount both motor mounts including crossbar even when you only use 1 Motor. The new aluminium mounts from Idea can be mounted as single mount, too

I specifically asked @idea about this and he said that single motor mount is not an option (at least for MBS; maybe it’s different for Trampa). I wanted to only get the side part of the dual mount with crossbar that @idea makes, but he said that wouldn’t work – the part would bend. So I’m getting the dual motor mount and will only use it with a single motor for now.

That’s with 149kv. With all that, my motors are Luke warm. My focboxes do overheat sometimes, crawling to a halt completely.

Did that happen in the last few weeks with the current temperatures or is this also true for summer?

I think he sells dual mounts only, I don’t know how it is with MBS but he has different mounts. The ones made of stainless steel and aluminium rings need a crossbar. The aluminium mounts can be used without crossbar except the truck has a bad angle. But he has a CNC machine so it shouldn’t be a problem. BTW this is an MBS truck with idea aluminium mounts, they won’t bend
