You can order lipos in various thicknesses, you can always cut the pack open and rearrange the cells. If you do seriously want to do this, keep in mind youâll need a balance charger, voltmeter, and an anti-spark loop.
is the Anti spark loop the Anti spark switch? you see i have no idea. i was thinking of getting a battery pack from esk8.de for 400⏠but it kind of annoys me to put money down for something which i should already have and i know they had problems getting their other parts so i had so wait three month (but life is a bitch you can not change it) but that i have to wait still for my battery where they did not have any problems with the delivery of parts pisses me of quite a bit when it would have been so easy so send the battery of in a timely manner because we all know batterys take a bit longer.

Blame strict air regulations I get why theyâre there, but there should be a certification process which allows for exemptions. Anyway, yes the anti-spark loop would essentially be the same as an antispark switch, it just wonât have the âSwitchâ part meaning youâll have to plug in the loops to connect the circuit on the battery. i would think with 3 month lead time i would have been possible even with the strictest of regulations to get this battery to me.
but i think Jason will learn how to run his business in the future and he will have better mechanisms in place that this will not be a big problem in the future

Idk man, I wonât jump to conclusions because itâs not the end of the week yet, but I kinda figured something like this might happen. I knew the VESCs would speed stuff up for board shipments but I wasnât 100% on how battery deliveries were going. I believe @longhairedboy is the one who receives the raptor batteries to ship to us? Or maybe we do get them from a factory here, idk. But yeah 10-14 days is bad, considering how behind Jason probably was up until he hired his first employee itâs not surprising.

I gave up and bought Chakaâs VESCs with the heatsink.
Probably the best choice considering you had to lose your spot in line. Should take about ~2 weeks or so for that to ship or be delivered going off of that one thread where he updates on peoples orders

At what point will you reply with the âurgentâ whatever? I see no reason they canât stick to the timeline that was promised above in this thread not long ago.
All the vesc we got in the first batch had the LED on backwards, so they got sent back to US to be reworked, they will be distapatched from US, but the VESC for raptors will need to be sent back to Australia. 5-7 days worth of delays due to shipping to USA & Then Back To AUS
The raptor batteries for US customers shipped from my factory 3 weeks ago, normally takes 3-4 days of transit time, they are somewhere in US & have been for the last 2 weeks, for some unknown reason they have not arrived at distributor. As soon as the US distributor gets them they will be dispatched, i have been told they will get them soon.
We wonât be shipping batteries into US with that method anymore.
I can assure you all that we build & ship everything ASAP⌠we are not sitting here twiddling our thumbsâŚ
We are now getting between 100-200 emails every day mostly stupid questions about what hobby motor & what lipo to buy⌠this means that we canât always answer the important emails sent from our paying customers because we can only answer about 40-50 emails each day.
I have now employed 3 new staff to keep up with demand, i have been working my arse off to train them and develop better systems so we can scale with the huge growth. New staff normally take about 2-4 weeks to warm up before they actually start reducing the work load.
Please try to be patient we are working as fast & as hard as possible. If you have an urgent email please reply to us & say your email is urgent & we will jump onto it.
