Guys quick update: Vacuum process hasn’t started yet…there was still shit load of wood working to be done. All decks have now mounted enclosures and are being sealed with fiber glass filler. All cf fabrics arrived. Vacuuming process will start on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Buttons have arrived today !! Big difference in size. The button is actually thinner than I thought, which is awesome as we don’t need to weld additional layer of aluminum underneath. We can nicely counter sink the button without the extra layer of aluminum. One thing though that I’ve noticed. Because the button is smaller the spring inside the button is also smaller which may cause the lid not to “pop out” as much as it used to with the older button. What we will try to do instead is I’ll look for additional spring that we will mount on the stud, this should do the trick - this should kick out the lid nicely after the button is released. More info tomorrow.
