E-sk8 is definitely easier to start on than a regular board. Pushing and braking are probably the two hardest things to get used to when first learning to skate. Although I would highly recommend learning to push and brake naturally before hitting any sort of speed above 10mph on an esk8 before learning these skills.
I built mine with downhill mtb frames, gears work great, didn’t have to mess with anything. With the BMX bars and cruiser seats, I am riding in comfort
all it needs are the electric bits. And maybe some hydraulics so i can bump the front end up and down with the convenience of switches.
Where you gonna put the subs?
under the seat so that the metal fenders can rattle like a trunk would.
interesting. What do settings for that look like?
default settings, BLDC mode
how are you controlling throttle? servo tester?
I have a thumb throttle like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electric-Scooter-Pocket-Bike-E-Bike-Speed-Control-Thumb-Throttle-3-wire-/151734115776?hash=item23540eddc0:g:lugAAOSw9N1VliTI It has 3 wires, red, black and signal. I connected red to VESC 3.3v, black to GND and signal to ADC. In BLDC tool I have chosen ADC control mode. No servo tester needed.
Hey I live in Salt Lake as well. Did you end up starting an eboard build??
