i tried using sulfuric acid on my wires and still didn’t get it off 
ah, too bad… well im not a chemistry expert… so canno tell how much different that might be from naoh… though, sulfuric acid does sound a lot stronger but there’s probably some sort of reactions involved too, so perhaps naoh stands out in another area of chemistry 
I ended up crimping my wires together and it’s been for for over 10km so far
I just burn the enamel off with some flux and the soldering iron. A bit messy, but works.
Saw this the other day. Was wondering if anyone on here had tried it.
