Street Slayer | Dual 6374 190 Kv | 12s5p | FlipSky 6.6

This is my take on - insanely quick and dirty. I have no plans and work on the spot. IMG_20190205_132521 IMG_20190205_134317 IMG_20190205_133145 IMG_20190205_181143 IMG_20190205_151148 IMG_20190205_194310 IMG_20190205_193534 I ordered a cheap eBay remote, if things turn around the way it looks, I will be buying the Arduino based spot welder, and see, maybe this quick and dirty, resurrected koowheel project will get a new deck and battery upgrade! I think I would leave the original case and put a fresh set of 20 30q.

Oh, the trampa order is almost here, pulleys are on the way, and I am in for the surfrodz push on mount order, so things can get very pretty for my Slayer, also these are also the parts for my next project, a more exotic and premium build

IMG_20190207_135842 So new wheels with bearing adapters are on, pulleys seem to be here next week. I am still not sure if I should leave my 15t pulley on, or go with 18. IMG_20190207_135710 IMG_20190207_135733IMG_20190207_135647

Btw, my old koowheel has a new thread. I will butcher that build here

My front lamp stuff is also here, so i will spend all saturday on these two builds, it’s about time to put an end to Slayer.

Now it’s perfect

Is these adapters from the guys that sell parts for evolve? Your truck is not the 218mm right?

It is actually from trampa them selfs, I am pretty sure TB trucks are 218mm.

Screenshot_20190210-131028 So I did pulled the trigger and bought my most wanted part for my ride. @Wajdi what’s the processing time on them right now?
This and I’m arranging a surfrodz order from @psychotiller And now I will wait for the upcoming surfrodz gear drive!

Sick build! How is holding up? Still fine with the Flipsky 6.6? I blew up one of mine yesterday and not sure if get another one.

Funny thing, I have not ridden this board for around 3 months I think, and before that, I have only ridden this deck with single TB 73 and 97mm eskating wheels and an old Vesc, this is my second 6.6. For absolutely unknown reasons, slave side burnd while on stand by, just sitting on the table. I only got it because they offered like 60% off, of a new one, but when charged like 40 for shipping and I also got customs taxes. All in all it performed well while it did worked. I would just buy the unity  The weather here is like this. IMG_20190210_143715 And board looks like this IMG_20190210_143541 I still have to get the pulleys and longer belts, but I think that in 5-6 days time, I will be able to take it out for a test run, I’m really interested in how the gummies will perform. Whether sucks too in Belgium but you can stsrt to see some few moments of dried roads. Also in my case the slave side burned, but was during riding. Not sure what to do. I order a unity for my next build like 10 days ago but seems thst it’s not possible to add another one to the order and I have to purchase a separate one. Meaning 2 times shipping cost, customs ecc… That’s ridiculous.

I did not expect to do an update today, but while playing with different riser pads in the rear, the idea kinda showed itself, so here it is.IMG_20190210_163348 IMG_20190210_163502 But the wires are a bit short, so a whole lot of redoing I am about to do. Edit, the wire length is just perfect. IMG_20190210_181932 IMG_20190210_181836 IMG_20190210_181755 IMG_20190210_184028 IMG_20190210_184048

Nice build! and thank you for your purchase, I re-opened ordering page because many have been requesting it, I have a couple PCBs scheduled for delivered sometime this week, then I will finish assembling and ship them out. It should take about 1.5 to 2 weeks.

So the happy 100% completion post. I have a few voltage converters installed. IMG_20190213_190250 They all connect nicely to the board, that has wires integrated from now on. IMG_20190213_190250 The rear light has a fixed output, front light and truck led have each a separated adjustable voltage converters, so I could easily swap them around and always have a desired voltage. IMG_20190213_190219 And now I have this. IMG_20190213_193102 IMG_20190213_193133 I call it complete, as I have nothing more diy wise to do. But it’s not rideable, atleast not with gummies, who are missing pulleys. They are on the way. Also photon remote and surfrodz will be added to this setup in the very near future. I went to the post office 3 times today, already got the pulleys, and the belts are just perfect. I wonder what’s the actual top speed on this thing is, even in eco mode it pulls a lot. Sad to say, gummies are not coping well with slightly moist roads and cold temperatures. Not the config builder for speed runs now. But OMG they really do roll over everything, the difference from 97mm wheels is just huge.

Riding update, the board is treating my nicely, kept swaping bushings until today, maxed her out at 44km/h safely. Gummies are insane, atleast for me, eating everything up, my terrain possibilities really widened.

the battery sag is pretty big, i can feel it after 20km. Expected a bit more from this battery. What else, the front light gave up again, photon got sent, still waiting for trucks from @psychotiller I really do like the board, besides the range factor, it seems to be build up well, absolutly no rattle or any sound, bearings roll great. Just one more upgrade before the building of this board will stop for some time, and a few new projects will arise, canibalasing the current board.

So I took an old 3d printed light case from eskating and dremeled some material from the inside.

IMG_20190312_160919

Used this cone reflector from a cheap flashlight and replaced with a led I had.

IMG_20190312_161346

I also filed the case a bit and glued in a jst 2 connector for an easy plug and play and a bit better looks. The whole case was shrink wraped.

So much for now.

Got the photon remote hooked up yesterday, it did had a few connectivity issues while riding, BUT at one point the board kept acelarating and did not slow down then pulling back the trigger, so I had to bail. This is the aftermath. IMG_20190318_122320 IMG_20190318_122228 IMG_20190318_121826 So far not really liking the Photon.

Shit man that’s a lot of damage, I’m sorry to see this. As for trouble shooting, did you set up fail safes for when the remote loses connection. What should happen is it goes to neutral and coasts when connection is lost

Fail safe is set, but this was caused by the speed ramping stuck in the remote, also happened a few times after.

Maybe time to cut the losses on the photon. Hopefully you didn’t get hurt in the bail out.
