Vesc Motor detection fails when running anything over 3S

I recently decided to pull my electric skateboard out of storage and transfer all the parts over to a bike so that I have a fun way to get around my college campus. I originally built the board in 2016 so the VESC hardware version is 4.12 and I installed the new VESC tool and updated the firmware. The motor I am using is an Enertion 3674 190 KV and I am running it on 2 5s 5p li-ion batteries in series.

The problem I am having is that when I try to run the motor detection (both BLDC and FOC) on anything over 3s it fails.

Some information that might help out: -Fault codes: ABS_OVERCURRENT and DRV on anything over 3s -Can’t read R and I when trying to detect in FOC

  • When running live data it only shows around 1 amp on the current bar. (I’m not sure what this means but it looks weird and I can stop the motor with my hand)
