Problem: If I push the throttle past 30-40 percent, the motors spin really fast and vibrates. It is not consistent and smooth. In the bluetooth module I see the current jumping up and down. It hits 100 percent duty.
The ESC on my new meepo mini 2 ER burned out. I decided to upgrade it with a FlipSky 4.12 100 am dual vesc. I first updated the firmware on both of the VESCs. I ran through the detect in the welcome & wizards using medium motor size, direct drive with the correct wheel diameter. I’ve also tried setting it up using the motor wizard. Both of the wizards seem to detect the wheels just fine.
I run the input wizard and I choose the uart in General settings
Hey bro, did you find the solution for your problem? I am having the same kind of vibration and also getting hot. My setup is really similar to yours, so maybe you could help me out.
Looks like ERPM not set, ERPM much lower I believe for hubs, since less kv, so set your ERPM limits as vesc defaults to much higher. Try starting with low 20k ERPM and slowly move up and find maximum where it doesn’t drive the motors too hard. Also you can calculate your battery voltage × kV × 7 to get the max ERPM.
Is that the actual number of poles divided by two? I was under the impression that poles were opposing electro magnets so there would always be an even number.
