I really want to get this going but there are so many freakin obstacles. Hub motor is not an option at $225. I believe I may buy a scooter like @mmaner posted and simply use only the steering assembly. This would beep dual rear drive as well as having a hand brake on the front.
This is the only portion of a scooter that I need. Anyone have one laying around?

Now that I look at it I’m pretty sure I can DIY it! Anyone know If a bike handlebar stem will mount directly into a front fork? Basically just not use a neck tube.

I have looked at them but not as interested due to pricing and shipping. A $400 kick scooter is ridiculous in my opinion.
