the new space cell uses the same version of cell we’re getting.
and i would be in depending on how much 100 cells would put me back. 80 for me and 20 to sell at 7.50 a cell, fuck i love vapers

@JLabs thanks this is great news! I’m in for 20-30. This will be my first time making a pack like this so my plan is to copy someone that has a better plan
Looks like we’re doing the same build !
yeah i just got a build request for a commuter board and i figure a 10Ah 10S will commute pretty damned well. lol
haha more like race the indy 500
The conversation will go something like this: “So, lets talk about the throttle and what not to do with it.”
For everyone considering this; this video helps to show all of the tools needed\recommended to make a pack. He covers a lot of the basics, totally worth the watch if you’re new or need a refresher. I’m still exploring the soldering option vs using a spot welder. I’d like to avoid buying another $200 tool that I won’t use too many times. Any thoughts on whether that’s a feasible option?
Shoot if you guys are going custom… I’d say go as big as you can fit!!!
Have psychotiller make you guys a custom enclosure that will fit your huge 40 mile pack
Go big … That’s the benefit of it being custom IMO.
Im using a soldering iron, its a lot more versatile than a spot welder. It has more purpose dollar for dollar. Unless making battery packs is a constant thing for you then id invest in a spot welder. I use a soldering iron and it works fine, aslong as the material youre using to connect the battery together can ‘wet’ to solder then itll work.
I’m using 18650 sleds that I’m gonna re-build in the future.
Does Tumich still offer some batteries? Maybe it is cheaper? https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61608
I might be in for about 48 of em’. A nice 12s4p would be awesome!! Then again…WHy not 5p?.. Just to clarify, are they the Samsung 25R battys? Nobody going to experiment with a solderless 18650 setup?
They are smaung 25r cells there is a link further up in the forum
Are you building the sleds or did you buy them? Do they sell 4 parallell sleds? Or just 2?
Do you think this is legit? Seems too good to be true. 40x LG He2 cells for 107 shipped? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/40PCS-new-LG-DBHE2-18650-rechargeable-lithium-ion-battery-3-7V-2600mAh-Battery-can-keep-electronic/32606262039.html?spm=2114.13010208.99999999.276.DBvt5O
Haha they seem too cheap… Could be a good deal or exaggerated capacity
I don’t think these cells have been cloned though. That’s the weird part. I know Sony cells have been cloned a lot.
Edit: They haven’t replied to any messages, so I’ll probably pass on them.
